Creative Portfolio

Introduction

Hi there, this portfolio documents my ongoing learning as a creative practitioner at LAMDA, alongside my wider engagement with contemporary media and performance. While my focus is acting, my training and independent exploration have encouraged me to think more broadly about how work is made and shown. Through this process, I’ve begun to develop a growing interest in production roles such as writing and producing.

One of the main shifts in the way I engage in media is now how I watch film. I have always noticed pacing, directing and acting choices, but as of recent I have become more critical of the technical elements of a production that supports and informs the other choices. Rather than deciding if something ‘works’ in film, I now question why it succeeds or fails, and how different choices can impact the overall product. It’s rare for me to be immersed in media, without viewing it through an acting or technical lens, and I would say this critical reflection has become central to how I learn as both an actor and a creative.

Looking into the future, the thing that excites me is the future of the industry itself. Rapid technical development continues to reshape how stories are told, and I’m motivated by the challenge of responding creatively to that change. I’m excited to also share my concept pitch, it’s an idea I’ve had in my mind for a while, and due to hearing about exciting technology in virtual production, it is now possible. Every piece of great media begins with an idea, and this portfolio represents my attempt to develop, challenge, and share my own.
